Daniel LeBlanc Composer and Doruk Uzel: Zeynep

Zeynep: A Short Animation

Directed and Animated by
Doruk Uzel

Zeynep tells the story of Uzel's grandmothers childhood as her family fled the Soviet Union in hopes of finding refuge in Turkey. Featuring live recordings of violin and violoncello, the score is comprised of eight cues and explores a variety of emotional nuances, cultural influences, and landscapes.

Pengwinter: A 2D Platforming Game

Pengwinter is a game in which players explore a mountainous and snowy world as a penguin soul warrior, destined to save its species from the invasion of deep-sea creatures. Featuring a soundtrack of originally composed and designed audio loops, the score explores the dark and somber nature of Pengwinter's reality and pays homage to the music of games such as Hollow Knight.

Peter and Wendy: A Play by Jeremy Bloom

Produced by Applause Academy
Directed by Greg Geer

Peter and Wendy, produced by Applause Academy in Taunton, MA, included an all ages cast that performed the ever-familiar tale on the nights of June 9th, 10th, and 11th of 2023. Featuring an original soundtrack that highlights the acting, drama, and emotions on stage, the music follows the tale of a boy who wished to never grow up, and a girl who sought the wonders of Neverland while facing the truth of inevitability.

Strangers 'Re-Scoring'

Directed by Eric D. Howell 

Strangers is a live action short film that follows the story of two individuals who meet at a crossroad. The cinematic novella deals with the darker and more complicated nuances of romance, mystery, and heartache. Featuring an original re-score comprised of live violoncello, voice, and tenor saxophone, the music meticulously follows the development and underlying emotion of each character, while highlighting the evolvement of their connection throughout the film.
